Dating Tips #2

There are a number of ways to find your perfect partner but being successful in dating can be quiet a challenge. To achieve success in dating, you need to make the decision to actually get out there and try, so don't pass up the chance to be with your "Mr or Mrs Right". Get out there and fall in love!

The though of joining the dating scene again can be daunting. While some easily connect with people, others find it difficult to socialise but if you want to find a partner, you have to at least try.

If you really want success in dating or want to make it an enjoyable experience, you need to stay positive and give people the chance to know you by making yourself available. No one is going to come knocking on your door if they do not know that you exist. There are many avenues of putting yourself "out there". Of course we promote joining an Introduction Service as it is by far the safest and most direct approach. Once you've started meeting a few people, your confidence and social skills improve and so will your self esteem.

Turn up to your date fresh, tidy and well presented. Make a good first impression; it will help things start out on a positive note.

When on your date, show attention to the person you are meeting. You have both made the effort to turn up so make the most of it. Be friendly, open and honest but don't give put your whole life story in one sitting. Stick to light hearted conversation and avoid talking about your past relationships or intense personal issues.

If you feel that you probably don't want a 2nd date with that person, politely thank them for their company and wish them well. This is far better than leading someone to believe there is a chance of a future between the two of you when there isn't. On the other hand, if you would like to see them again, let them know that it was a pleasure to meet them and when you part company, ask if it is O.K to call them again. This is an honest and direct approach but at least then you both know where you stand and can take things from there.

Do not get disheartened if a meeting doesn't go that well. You are not being judged and it is NOT A TEST. Keep moving forward. This is all good practise for you.

Most importantly… Enjoy Yourself!
